Hayden Gan - Portrait 01

I ran into Hayden in Mi-Life, on the hunt for some new sneakers. Mi-Life is a retail shop in Western Australia, making roots in the heart of Fremantle, they stock an exclusive range of sneakers, apparel, and accessories from a variety of boutique and major street-wear companies.

First look at Hayden and a little voice inside of my head was shouting at me to ask him to come hang out in my tiny studio so I can take some portraits of him. So I did.

Since I was a kid, I have always been intrigue with tattoos. Not really knowing what they where back then, maybe that's why they fascinated me. Ten years ago I had a vision of myself covered in tats like Hayden, but my thirst for photography and moving halfway across the world got the better of me. No regrets, and stoked to be where I am today!

I still envision myself to be covered one day.

We are both stoked with the shots we got working together. Hayden uploaded this above image to his Instagram, with no hashtags and gained 200+ followers and its one of his top liked photo's with 714 likes and counting! Hayden's average likes usually sits around 250.

Please don't get me confused for someone who's life is all about social media. I'm quite the opposite but it would be stupid to ignore it and not be part of such a powerful movement and tool used in so many different positive ways.

Thanks for reading !
